What Every Website Owner Should Know

If you don't know, it's time to dig in and get to know your website! My CD Trainings will put you ahead of 95% of your colleauges.

How many visitors did you have last month (or average each month)?

How many pages does your website have?

Tip: The more high quality content you have the more search engines are going to display your website. Look at your competition and see what they're doing.

What is your Google Rank?

Do you know what it is or what it does? Learn why it matters especially in the Website Marketing CD.

How many pages on average does a visitor read?

Tip: Are visitors getting lost, trying to gather the information they need (a high page count average?) Are they leaving fast (a low count average) or what happens as you add new high quality content - are you getting more people, on average, to engage in your site?

What percentage of your web traffic is links from other websites, from search engines or people directly typing in your web address?

How much traffic does each page receive?

Tip: You can write tons of high quality content, but are people reading it? What do you WANT people to read and how can you reorganize your website to make it happen? Are you shocked how few people read pages you view as "really important?" Are you frustrated how few people read anything past your homepage? Are there a few surprising pages people seem to read... and if so, how can you leverage that to improve your website? This is all in my website organization training.
